Team Bath Drones – Mechanical Design for UAVs

Project Overview

Team Bath Drones competes in the IMechE UAS Challenge. I contribute to the design of structural and functional UAV components — from chassis reinforcements to payload systems — in a high-pressure team environment.

🛠️ Project Overview

As part of Team Bath Drones, I focus on the mechanical design of our competition UAV. My contributions aim to maximise structural integrity and modularity while enabling precise payload deployment — all within strict competition rules.

🎯 Objectives

  • Design a UAV chassis for autonomous flight and payload release
  • Ensure mechanical robustness and easy assembly
  • Support CAD integration with electronics and avionics
  • Follow UAS Challenge technical rules and safety standards
